Rules

League Rule “No coin flips”, a lag must be done for the break.

  • If the Nine (9) ball is made on the break it is spotted.
  • Call all shots- be CLEAR to your opponent on the shot you are taking.
  • Rack Your Own (RYO)
  • Alternating Break
  • Jump cues are allowed (location decision).
  • Three foul rule is in effect. You must notify your opponent once they have committed the 2nd foul.
  • The two (2) ball goes in the back of the rack.
  • If you slop a ball in and your opponent does not like the shot, they can give it back to you and make you shoot again.
  • If a legal break is not made and the cue ball crosses the headstring, the player forfeits their turn to break. The break order remains the same, and the opponent will break the next game.
  • A legal break is defined as the one (1) ball must be struck first, four (4) balls must hit a rail after it is struck, and a ball must cross over the headstring.
  • No “Safe In” is allowed when playing 9-ball. If you call a safety and pocket a ball, it is considered an unintended shot. Your opponent has the option to make you shoot again.
  • If a ball goes off the table for any reason, it is a foul.
  • If the 9-ball is pocketed in a pocket other than the one called, it will be spotted. Your opponent then has the option to take the shot or pass it back to you.
  • Triangle racks at the host location must be used; no templates
