Rules

League Rule “No coin flips”, a lag must be done for the break.
  • YOU CAN NOT WIN/LOSE ON THE BREAK! The 8 does not count on the break. It is spotted and the breaker has a choice of solids or stripes.
  • If you scratch on the break it is ball in hand behind the line.
  • Any other foul is ball in hand.
  • Any ball that goes off the table, it stays down. It is a ball in hand foul.
  • It is always open after the break.
  • Call all shots- be CLEAR to your opponent on the shot you are taking, or the safety you are playing.
  • Rack Your Own (RYO)
  • Alternating break format
  • Safe-In allowed
  • Jump cues allowed (location decision)
  • 8-Ball is never neutral
  • IT IS ONLY A LOSS WHEN YOU MAKE THE 8 AND SCRATCH. ANY OTHER FOUL IS BALL IN HAND ONLY.
  • If you make the 8 in the wrong pocket or early that is loss of game.
  • After the break, a mix of solids and/or stripes can be used as a combination to establish solids or stripes.
